Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions on EPC turnkey scope, ethanol plant construction, DPR preparation, valuation reports and how our pricing is structured.

Under an EPC turnkey contract, engineering, procurement and construction sit with one contractor under one agreement. For an ethanol plant this matters because production usually has to start by a fixed date or contractual penalties apply — a single accountable party removes the coordination gaps between separate design, supply and construction agencies that cause most schedule slippage.

Foundations, fermentation hall, distillation block, effluent treatment plant and utilities for both grain-based and sugarcane-based plants — plus site investigation, structural design, BOQ, internal roads, drainage, fire-fighting lines, erection support and post-completion handover with as-built drawings.

Both. Structural design, drawings and DPR are prepared in-house. Preparing the DPR ourselves removes the delays that come from outsourced consultants and means the report is built on real construction costing rather than generic benchmarks.

We have executed or consulted on industrial construction across 20+ Indian states, including Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Odisha, Karnataka, Telangana and Chhattisgarh, meeting state-level regulatory norms in each.

It depends on plant capacity, ground conditions and how the mechanical erection programme is sequenced. The controlling factors are usually soil conditions at foundation stage and equipment delivery dates. We give an indicative programme after the site visit and soil testing, which are part of the free initial consultation.

Yes. The first stage — initial consultation, site visit, soil testing and feasibility assessment — is provided free so that both sides can establish whether the project is viable before any commitment is made.

Our valuation consultancy is prepared to bank-approved standards for industrial land, buildings, and plant and machinery, with the measurement basis, depreciation approach and market comparison set out in full so the reviewing institution can follow the methodology.

Nirman Engineers Associates is led by Mr. S K Misra, who has 45+ years of on-site experience in industrial civil construction and is personally involved in project delivery.
